About me
Hello, you lovely human! Welcome to my space.
I’m Erin Meeks, originally from all over (anyone else grow up in a military family?) and have been calling Nashville home for almost 8 years.
As someone just existing in our society, I know there’s a lot of noise bombarding us at any given moment, telling us that everything we’re doing to our hair is wrong and that we’re ruining it just by breathing. Okay, I know that’s a tad melodramatic, but with so much information, often contradictory information, it can be easy to get stuck with analysis paralysis. I’m here to block out all that noise and give a voice to the information that’s relevant for you and your hair. I’ve curated my studio to be a safe space where the pressure is off, a place where we’ll look at your unique hair and create a streamlined plan with your lifestyle in mind. I care about how you feel and want the attention paid to your hair inside (and out!) of my studio to feel as stress-free as possible.

I have been a hair stylist for 7 years now and knew right from hair school that I wanted to specialize in curly hair. Since then, I’ve taken the time to educate myself on all hair types in order to serve a diverse clientele and am passionate about sharing this knowledge to those in my chair. I gravitate to balayage and hand painting for color as I find these techniques lend themselves to easy maintenance, but I also love a dramatic transformation through vivid and fantasy colors. Additionally, my services are gender neutral. It’s incredibly important to me that my chair is a safe space for people of color, trans, and non-binary folks. You are welcome and safe here.
When you come into my studio, I want to help make life easier for you. I know that life pulls us in a lot of directions and it will be that much easier to handle if your hair is one less thing to stress about. I’m not here to sell you the latest DIY fad or “miracle-working” product, instead I want to help you express your individuality through your hair, however that looks for you. Let’s throw out all of the “rules” and “shoulds” of the beauty industry–let’s find what cut, color, routine, and products make the most sense for your hair, personality, and lifestyle. No apologies, explanations, or caveats needed!
just a little different
Most of the time I love being a homebody and snuggling on the couch with my dog, Biscuit, but when I’m not behind the chair you'll catch me rocking out while teaching a Pound group fitness class at the Green Hills YMCA (yes, I have heard and made the many jokes to be had about that name). I also love embracing my nerdy side by playing Dungeons and Dragons with my husband and a tight-knit group of friends every week and am always down to gush about video games like Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy, and Persona. Like I said, I’m a giant nerd. Ultimately, my passion is writing, so in my free time I’m working on writing a fantasy novel. Feel free to ask me about it!
